Eric Johnson, ESQ.
Eric Johnson was born and raised in Charlottesville. He received his undergraduate degree from Randolph Macon College in Ashland, and his law degree from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law.
If you ask Eric why he decided to go to law school, he will quickly tell you that at age 22, he was not ready to get a real job.
Law school provided a great opportunity to postpone the real world. Three children, graying hair and almost 25 years later, Eric will answer that question a bit differently now. Losing someone close to you in an accident can have a profound effect on the path of one’s life. It wasn’t until about a year or so ago that Eric actually realized that his desire to assist clients with serious personal injury and wrongful death claims may relate back to his own personal experience.
Eric has litigated personal injury claims throughout the state of Virginia for nearly 25 years. From the Eastern Shore to Richmond, Petersburg, Powhatan, Chesterfield, Greene County, Charlottesville, Amherst, Bedford, Campbell, Lynchburg, Danville, and Northern Virginia. Trying a case in front of a jury is a uniquely rewarding experience that is really hard to explain and something which keeps Eric excited about his practice - but it is the clients he gets to know and help that makes the practice of law so satisfying for him.
Eric’s practice focuses primarily on handling all aspects of plaintiffs personal injury litigation including, automobile accidents, tractor-trailer accidents, premises liability, wrongful death cases. Eric also represents clients in Social Security Disability matters.
Eric has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers, Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and the “Top Lawyers” of Greater Lynchburg for 2016.
He is a member of the Lynchburg Bar Association, the Campbell County Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.
Eric has volunteered and served on the board for numerous organizations including the Jubilee Family Development Center, the Lynchburg Bar Association, and the E.C. Glass Foundation.
Away from the office, Eric enjoys spending time with his three kids, Will 17, Mack 15 and Kakie 12; and anything that allows him to enjoy the outdoors including spring gobbler hunting, running, mountain biking, fishing, and grouse hunting with his German Shorthair pointer.
